WMR Englewood, CO and Provo, UT Earn SHARP Recognition

Western Metals Recycling’s Englewood and Provo recycling facilities received the prestigious SHARP (Safety & Health Achievement Recognition Program) designation from the U.S. Department of Labor. SHARP is the highest honor OSHA awards to businesses that demonstrate an exemplary commitment to workplace safety and health. The Englewood and Provo facilities are the second and third Western Metals Recycling (WMR) facilities to receive this designation. The West Salt Lake facility was the first WMR facility to achieve the SHARP status. Dave Youngberg, Western Metals Recycling Englewood General Manager and Jay Lamb, WMR Provo General Manager accepted the award on behalf of the entire WMR staff at each facility. Jeff Davis, WMR President, thanked each of the WMR employees for their daily contribution to the company’s success, stating, “This honor is the result of their personal commitment to working safely, as well as looking out for fellow team mates, customers, suppliers, vendors, and visitors to the recycling facility every day. Safety is a core value at Western Metals and this achievement reflects the entire team’s goal of zero accidents.” At the award ceremony, Craig Feldman, President of The David J.
