Ideal candidate will have:
Minimum 3 years Heavy Industry management experience -preferably in a scrap metal environment.
Ability to work 3rd shift and participate in off shift hours during training.
Bachelors degree in Management or related field preferred
Ability to develop and implement effective procedures to improve safety, productivity, and efficiency.
Strong leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
Computer skills including, Excel, Word and Outlook.
Must possess excellent problem solving, organizational and team building skills.
Ability to work flexible hours as required to meet production needs.
Fluency in Spanish helpful.
Mechanically and operationally focused


Responsibilities include:
Supervise/direct work crew in the processing of scrap metal.
Proactively identifies safety and production improvements and brings these ideas to the attention of senior management.
Maintain daily work schedule, ensuring team carries out assignments in an efficient and safe manner.
Supervise, train, orient and direct staff of non-technical production subordinates.
Hands-on production to include all aspects of plant operation.
Interact with customers, coworkers and peers in a professional manner.
Motivate team members to achieve positive results. Provide regular constructive feedback to team members.
Work with senior management in determining production schedules to meet location-specific and overall company goals. Safety, quality and productivity are the top priorities in the decision-making process.
